Veins

10% of people at 20 years old suffer from leg veins; at 90 years this percentage rises to 90%.
Varisocse veins in the legs are developed because venous circulation has more pressure and difficulty returning to the heart. Spending hours standing, not walking or exercising, having very coagulable blood, are all risk factors for the development of leg veins.

TIPS NOT TO DEVELOP VEINS:

A) Walk or exercise the lower body trunk: Bicycle, swimming, running.
B) Do not take foods very rich in salt.
C) In moments of rest, when watching television, being at home … place your legs at hip level.
D) Ideal position: Buddha position, legs crossed and sitting on the floor.
E) It is not necessary to place the legs in a higher position at night: this has a negative impact on our circulatory system.
F) Take a diet that increases our collagen and makes vascular walls more elastic and powerful: take collagen supplements or Vitamin A or derivatives that stimulate collagen.
G) No smoking.
H) Avoid overweight and obesity.

METHODS TO ELIMINATE VEINS:

Application of anesthetic cream:
It is convenient to work on leg veins that, the patient applies an hour and a half or two hours before treatment a thick layer of some anesthetic cream such as EMLA CREAM 30 g, covering it with transparent kitchen film. This is removed at the same time of treatment.

Sclerosis with Foam or micro foam:

The traditional way to destroy varicose veins is by injecting a substance that kills the vessel wall. Today, this substance or POLIDOCANOL is converted into foam that adheres to the walls. This multiplies the effectiveness of sclerosis 9 times.

Laser sclerosis of Nd: YAG.:

The most suitable laser to treat veins is the Nd: YAG that plays with a color between red and infrared and has the highest penetration. It is not the only one used. The first system used for varicose veins was the IPL which, although not very effective in removing varicose veins, reduced the hair of the treated legs. It was for this reason that in 1996 this system began to be used for permanent hair removal.

Post treatment care:

A third of patients treated with leg veins develop a brown coloration in the treated area. It is the iron that in the blood offers a red color and in the orange skin. This coloration can last up to 2 years although normal is 3 months. For its treatment it is advisable to apply IRON BURNING CREAMS, ARNIKA or VITAMIN K.

It is also advised to exercise, use compression stockings during the week after the session and at home, keep the legs at heart level.

When can I have another session:

The number of sessions needed is quite variable depending on the blood circulation of each person. There are people who need a session and others that require more than 4. It is recommended to repeat the session after at least 30 days.
